Signs of Stimulant Addiction (Adderall, Ritalin, Concerta)
Stimulants increase heart rate and blood pressure and cause any of the symptoms listed below.
- Insomnia – Individuals who abuse stimulants may have trouble sleeping and/or may use sleeping pills regularly to get rest.
- Weight Loss – People using stimulants often have decreased appetite.
- Aggression, Agitation, and/or Paranoia – Stimulants increase heart rate and can lead to changes in behavior, including hostility and other negative behaviors.
Obsession with Performance or Achievement – Many of these drugs help with concentration and can increase a person’s ability to perform in a variety of situations.
